Sui Salon Russell

Sui Hair Salon on Russell is definitely a premium experience. This is not where you go if you want a budget cut, though there is happy hour on Thursdays if you pay cash. The salon itself is decorated nicely, with leather seating, halogen lights and plenty of mirrors that give the salon a sense of space and luxe aesthetic. Reception is very lovely, I have been served by a pretty kind young lady every time. They take your coats and jumpers and stowe away any large bags in their cupboard behind the counter like concerge. For the $38 you will pay for a standard male cut, you get a pre and post hair wash included. This was supposed to be something that gave you a sense of being pampered or cared for but it is far from that. I have been going to Sui for almost a year and I usually get a girl who is very rough with your head and scalp. They get frustrated and move your head to a position that is convenient for them and God knows what they were saying about me in their native tongue to their colleague. The male I got on this visit was more gentle but was also so particular about how you had to sit and splashed my face and shirt a bit with the water. The highlight however and why I am giving Sui 4 stars regardless of the wash experience and price is Catherine. She is my stylist there at Sui and I am so pleased with her service delivery and talent. She is very sweet to talk to and she just handles your hair with finesse, care and total attention. She is very quick with her work and always sports a beautiful smile. Worth every cent I spend to get a haircut I don't have to worry about and know will look great by the end. In summary, I would recommend SUI to those that want hassle free hair cuts and treatment that don't mind spending a bit more than usual.

I had my hair coloured by Julie and another hairdresser (I didn't catch her name), but they did an exceptional job and delivered an amazing result. Julie and the other hairdresser had been very patient throughout the whole 5 hour process, explaining what was going to be done to my hair and what was the best option for me as I had dark hair and wanted to go a very light blonde. Even though the salon had already closed, the two didn't rush to finish my hair and made sure it was just the way I wanted and was happy with the result. This world class experience can also be said for the other staff members at the salon, all were extremely polite and made sure I was comfortable. Thank you Sui!

I have been having my hair done at Sui in the last 2-3 years, I would say the experience is always joyful. Great service with a very reasonable price. especially with my short hair, I pretty much get my hair cut done every 2 weeks, the service is always outstanding & consistent. Also, another reason I have been following Sui is whenever I brought up an idea, my hairdresser (Jay) always can deliver the result exactly as what I expected. Sui is the Salon definitely I will recommend to my families & friends.

Jay is very knowledgable in regards to maintaining the desired style, where he advised what kind of length I needed. A bit wary, I trusted his advice and my hair turned out very nice. I believe $45 is normal for a wash and cut, especially since my hair was washed before and after the cut to remove loose hairs. Would recommend to others.

1 star for receptionist service, I have to cancell twice fringe cut because work and family issue, the receptionist's attitide feel like I owe her something and said i reschedule my appointment for more than 3 times while only 2 times i have to cancel for other more urgent reason and receptionist refuse to make another appointment for me?! Really ridiculous, Thats not feel like service, it is only for haricut, what makes the receptionist think doing haircut is more important than anything else? Please be focus more on service as with this attitude, no one will happy with it.
